Welcome to Term 3!

What a great first day in room 7!
Here are a few reminders.

On Friday this week we celebrate our 100th day of school.  Have you got your collection of 100 'somethings' ready?  Bring them into Room 7 any day this week, we will explore the collections on Friday as part of our celebration day.

Oral language for the first few weeks will have the children participating in a compliment circle.  They will learn how to give a compliment and experience the feeling of receiving a compliment.  It is amazing how this simple act then engrains itself into our everyday classroom culture.

Today's writing

Today the children were set the challenge to write about something they did in the school holidays...but there was a twist...they could be truthful or they could try and trick the class.
Can you figure out who was telling the truth and who was telling a fib?

I ate an ice cream in the paddling pool.  It was cold but it didn't matter I just enjoyed it.

In the holidays I went to Armageddon.  I had a Zombie Chew because Noah gave me it.  I saw the wrestling, I liked the chickenman.

In the holidays I went to the moon but just as I landed the moon melted.  Why did the moon melt? Because our rocket was made out of concrete so it smashed the moon!  We had to fall down and down.  It got near bedtime so we had to sleep in the trees.

In the holidays I went to the snow.

In the weekend I watched TV with popcorn and when my Mum was making popcorn it exploded.  It went into the TV room so we swam on it and when I was swimming in it I ate it.
