Swimming reminder

We start our swimming programme this week.  

We swim on Wednesday and Thursday, for the next 4 weeks.  

We leave on the bus at 12:30pm, lessons begin at 1pm.  

Please remember to pack your child's swimming gear on these days.

Craig Smith visit

Kiwi syndicate was lucky to have musician and author Craig Smith come and visit us.  He has written many books, 'The wonkey donkey' is one or our favourites.

Vikki asked, " Are you going to write anymore books?".  Craig Smith said "Yes."  We look forward to reading them!

Class photo reminder

Room 7 will be having our class photo taken this Wednesday 5th November.  The order-form envelope that was given to each child last week needs to be returned before or on this day.  Please return to the school office money box.

Strike performance

Today we were lucky to have Strike come and perform. 
We listened to the rhythms and moved our bodies to the beat. 
We saw the drummers arms moving faster and faster as the tempo changed. 
We watched flames dance as the fire made music. 
We wondered how did the performers learn to play so many different instruments?

Back in class we created our own Stirke inspired performance.
We used our bodies, the tables and the floor.
 We did a 'quick write' to get all our ideas down about the show. 
We loved it!

Calendar Art

 Your children are flying high at school...and in their calendar art.  Order forms were sent home on Thursday this week.
