100 days smarter!

Today Kiwi and Tui syndicates celebrated 100 days of school.
All year we have been counting the days, using this as valuable maths learning.
Today children bought in their collections of 100 'things' to share with the class. What imaginative ideas!
Everyday at school we add a link to a paper chain, today we spent time measuring our 100 days chain.
After morning tea the children were split across the syndicate getting stuck-in to some exciting 100 days activities.
Check out the photos below.

Our chain is shorter than the rocket ship

It is longer than the pole

It is almost twice as long as the orange slide

It is longer than the monkey bars

Would you believe it? It is the same length as the steps!

We had to work together to carry it very carefully around the school

Jayden with his collection of 100 paper planes

100 toy cars

100 giant jelly beans

10 towers of 10 Lego bricks - 100 pieces

100 pieces of pasta

100 stickers on a 100 days hat

100 thumb and toe prints

Ladybird with 100 spots

100 pieces of pasta

100 beads

Maya with 100 stones from her garden

Early morning tea, with 100's and 1000's of course!
If children were in Room 7 they had to imagine what they would look like when they were 100 years old...

What a great day!
